These are just part of a personal photojournal of my hometown, specifically, Nicollet Mall in downtown Minneapolis. (These particular photos were taken in summer 2010.)

Photo mural on an exterior facade of the Minnesota Orchestra Hall building.

Above: The "Music Wall" mural painted on the side of the old Schmitt Music building. (Photo shows just small part of mural.)  The score is Maurice Ravel's "Gaspard de la Nuit."

Above: Westminster Presbyterian Church, built 1897.

Above: Bikes for Minneapolis "bike sharing program" that allows people to check out bicycles for short trips. Approximately 700 bicycles are located at roughly 70 kiosks in downtown Minneapolis, the University of Minnesota and nearby commercial areas.

Sculptures of Twins catcher Joe Mauer were scattered around downtown Minneapolis during the 2010 baseball season as part of a fundraising effort for the Minnesota Twins Community Fund and to celebrate the team's 50 seasons.

Another sculpture version of Joe Mauer.

Below: Besides the flowers/plants placed downtown by the city, there are many placed in front of stores, restaurants and office buildings by the owners of those businesses.
